Kim Kardashian stuns in white ‘naked’ dress to launch controversial beauty line, KKW Beauty
SHE’S about to make $18 million in a matter of minutes with her beauty line. And Kim Kardashian showed off her curves — and contour — at the launch.
SHE’S following in her younger sister Kylie Jenner’s lucrative footsteps by releasing a line of make-up.
Kim Kardashian unveiled her new venture at her home in Bel-Air, with some of the internet’s most-followed beauty bloggers attending.
Kardashian is tipped to rake in AU $18.5 million worth of sales “in minutes” when her KKW Beauty collection goes live at KKWBeauty.com tomorrow, Australian-time. It features contour kits priced at about AU $64, including a crème contour stick, highlighter stick and sponge.
Women’s Wear Daily predicted Kardashian’s contour kits will sell out in five minutes, with 300,000 units available.
Of course Kardashian’s make-up line has not been without controversy. The reality star was accused of wearing black face in the ads.
“I would obviously never want to offend anyone,” Kardashian, 36, told the New York Times.
“I was really tan when we shot the images, and it might be that the contrast was off. But I showed the image to many people, to many in the business. No one brought that to our attention. No one mentioned it.”
Kardashian looked white hot in an off-the-shoulder dress by British designer Vivienne Westwood that left little to the imagination.
The VVVIP launch was attended by her husband Kanye West, daughter North West, and mother, Kris Jenner.
Australian Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik and Sydney-based They All Hate Us blogger Elle Ferguson were also at the party.
Kardashian transformed her home into a KKW Beauty showroom, complete with a selfie room covered in white roses.
