Jennifer Hawkins' wedding dress revealed in Woman's Day
WOMAN'S Day has released their upcoming cover giving Aussie fashionistas their first real glimpse at what the bride wore on her big day.
IT'S been hailed as "the wedding of the year" so it's no wonder rival magazines are pulling out all the punches.
Woman's Day, who bought the rights to the wedding album for an undisclosed sum, has released their upcoming cover on Twitter giving fashionistas their first real look at what the bride wore on her big day.
Renowned Melbourne-based designer and Myer stable mate, Toni Maticevski, scored the lucrative gig of designing a traditional, strapless and chic wedding dress for the bride.
Two dresses were taken to Bali for the ceremony but Hawkins was so comfortable in her Maticevski wedding gown that she chose to leave it on, even after the cutting of the cake, when she was expected to change into a shorter, more relaxed party dress.
"Jen looked a million dollars," Woman’s Day editor Fiona Connolly told news.com.au. "She has obviously got great style and knew exactly how to create every girl’s fairytale wedding. There were tears but overall this was a really fun wedding – Jen really ripped up the dancefloor and there was a lot of laughs."
Sydney-based celebrity hair stylist Keiren Street, of the renowned Valonz salon, was joined by make-up artist Liz Kelsh to tend to Jen’s beauty needs.
"She was more natural looking than we have seen her," added Connolly. "It’s not often you get two well-known Aussie celebs marrying – and both picture-perfect, gorgeous models."
