Why Kendall Jenner’s boyfriends were never on KUWTK

Kendall Jenner had one rule when it came to her boyfriends and keeping them strictly under wraps during the lengthy run of KUWTK.

Kendall Jenner kept her love life off camera throughout the filming of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

An executive producer for the series revealed the 25-year-old didn’t want her boyfriends to appear on the show because she wanted to figure out in private if the relationship worked.

“Kendall’s always had this rule – she just felt like she had to be with someone for at least a year before she lets them be a part of the show, because she doesn’t always know what people’s intentions are,” Farnaz Farjam told Bravo’s The Daily Dish podcast on Monday. “So, that’s why we kind of kept her personal life out of it, just because she had a rule,” he said.

The model has been romantically linked to singer Harry Styles as well as NBA players Ben Simmons and Blake Griffin in the past, but she is now smitten with her boyfriend of over a year Devin Booker and marked the occasion with an Instagram tribute.

First linked in April 2020, Jenner and Booker’s relationship slowly intensified publicly, when the athlete got flirty with the model on social media.

In the weeks following their Instagram interaction, the couple stepped out together in real life. It wasn’t until February, however, that Jenner and Booker made their relationship Instagram-official.

While fans may not have got a glimpse at their relationship on KUWTK, which ended earlier this month, perhaps Booker will make his debut on the family’s upcoming Hulu series. It has been a year, after all.

In a recent teaser for the upcoming KUWTK reunion, Khloe Kardashian revealed why fans didn’t see much of Kourtney’s partners either, following her split from Scott Disick.

In the teaser, host Andy Cohen asks Khloe whether she feels she “carried the show” during the later seasons because she shared more of her personal life than Kourtney, Kendall, Kylie and Kris.

The Kardashians are set to bare all in a two-part reunion special.

“I will say that sometimes Kim and I have had this conversation really openly – we feel like we give so much and maybe others aren’t holding up their end of the deal too,” she said. “If other people are going through things and they’re choosing not to share, that’s when it’s unfair, but if there’s really nothing else going on in someone’s life what are they supposed to share?”

Khloe, 42, continued to use Kourtney as an example.

“Well like Kourt, I think Kourt learned from how much the public was in her relationship with Scott, it made her not want to share future dating relationships. We weren’t even allowed to talk about it – I’m not saying put him on, but Kourtney wouldn’t even let us mention it, even though there’s paparazzi photos.”

Kourtney dated Scott Disick, 38, for around a decade before officially ending things in 2015. The pair have three children – Mason, 11, Reig, 6 and Penelope, 8.
