Whoa! Melissa McCarthy reveals amazing weight loss

A FAR cry from her current starring role as a dowdy CIA analyst, Melissa McCarthy has reportedly lost around 20 kilos, displaying a stunning slimmer look on the red carpet in Berlin.

HER current starring role is that of Susan Cooper, a dowdy CIA analyst thrown into a series of dangerous yet hilarious missions, but Melissa McCarthy has reportedly lost around 20 kilos, displaying a stunning slim down look on the red carpet in Berlin on Tuesday.

The new shape is credited to a low carb, high protein diet, reports Celebrity Health and Fitness.

Despite wearing a baggy poncho style top, her weight loss was obvious, also wearing tight leggings that were showing off her slimmer legs.

McCarthy has always claimed to lead a healthy lifestyle by playing tennis and doing Pilates, telling Good Housekeeping, “Sometimes I wish I were just magically a size 6 and I never had to give [my weight] a single thought ... I am weirdly healthy, so I don’t beat myself up about it — it wouldn’t help, and I don’t want to pass that on to my girls.”

She’s also the current cover girl on the June issue of More magazine, saying “People don’t stop at size 12 (Australian size 16). I feel like there’s a big thing missing where you can’t dress to your mood above a certain number.”

Later this year will also see the release of her own clothing line, Seven7 and will feature 80 designs in sizes 4 to 28 (Australian sizes 8-32) with an aim to making women of all sizes ‘feel good’ about clothes and how they wear them.

Spy sees her starring alongside Jason Statham and fellow Bridesmaids’ cast mate Rose Byrne. Jam packed full of stunts and some awesome martial arts moves which she no doubt had to train for, maybe that was the key to her new slimdown?
