FROM Kelly Osbourne's headline-grabbing visit to the launch of Leona Edmiston's stunning summer collection, there was plenty a-happening this week.

KELLY O AND CLEO DO THE CHERRY BAR:

Kelly O came, went and didn't disappoint.

Like family members before her, Ms Osbourne garnered headlines, not always for the right reasons, but hey, she was her to flog her new magazine column.

And that's what it was all about.

The Cleo magazine folk, where Kelly is penning a monthly column, hosted a party at The Star, where it is standard that everyone who walks onto the gaming floor (whether you're a celeb or humble PLU) is asked for ID. Hence the great Kelly and the security drama.

Happily ensconced in a roped-off, Moet-fuelled area in the Cherry bar at the Star, the Alex Perry-clad Kel also caught up with Sydney party boy and former model, Oliver Barry.

The pair had met when he was modelling in Milan and she was once dating a model, so had lots of catching up to do.

The party was full of lots of girls who looked like each other as well as Timomatic, Prinnie Stevens, Charlotte Dawson, MTV'S Kate Peck, the Stenmark modelling twins, Magdalena Roze, Michael Pell, Nikki Phillips and Laura Dundovic.

After thesoiree, another night's highlight was spotting Seal, Darren McMullen and Joel Madden all chowing down at smooth Japanese munchery, Sokyo.

I ventured there for a clean bite with the My Kitchen Rules boys, Luke Hines and Scott Gooding, who are putting out their first book, Clean Living, on November 1.

US STORES HIT AUSSIE SHORES:

They are huuuge news in the US, so when homewares store Pottery Barn and kitchen shop Williams-Sonoma decided to open in Australia, cue the marching bands.

So impressive is the retail get to Oz, even NSW premier Barry O'Farrell officially opened the stores at Bondi Junction, along with Pottery Bark Kids and West Elm.

Stay tuned for the same opening in Melbourne and others that will be dotted across the country.

STRAND ARCADE CAMPAIGN FOR WOOL DINNER:

Marking Wool Week, the Strand Arcade designers and style set came together to celebrate a wool collaboration with textile artist Magda Sayeg.

Showcasing Sayeg's world-renowned guerrilla knitting style, the majestic Victorian arcade was transformed by an installation of six-metre-tall fibreglass gumtrees, covered in over 600 metres of custom-woven vibrant Australian Merino wool.

The Campaign for Wool's Managing Director Stuart McCullough and Magda Sayeg joined by Australian fashion's leading creatives including Susien Chong and Nic Briand of Lover, Luke Sales of Romance Was Born and Akira Isogawa made for a colourful mid-week soiree at Strand restaurant, Pendolino.

MARGARITAS WITH JONESY & AMANDA:

Celebrating the dynamic duo's reign as Sydney's #1FM radio station, we sipped on margaritas and nibbled quesadillas at Margaritaville in Darling Harbour.

With Hawaiian leis en masse and a sea of festive brights, guests were taken on a mini tropical break in their lunch hour.

Witnessing the endearing banter between these two radio hosts, it's easy to see why they're such an award-winning combination after eight years together in the biz.

Huge congrats, Jonesy & Amanda.

THE GOOD: The simply sensational Australian drama on Foxtel, Wentworth - it's a reboot of Prisoner and worth every minute of watching...

THE BAD: Sad news about the death about Kriss Kross rapper Chris Kelly...

THE UGLY: Good to see the dark ages haven't left behind retired journo Geoffrey Barker - the man who penned a piece telling us that female TV reporters can't possibly be clever and genetically blessed. God bless.
