Unrecognisable new Pete Evans video surfaces online
Former My Kitchen Rules judge Pete Evans looks a world away from his days as a Seven celeb in an odd new video posted online.
Former My Kitchen Rules judge Pete Evans has appeared in an odd new video that’s surfaced on social media – looking very different from his days as a celeb chef, with an extreme new hairstyle.
The brief clip shows Evans, wearing a ‘Food is Medicine’ T-shirt, walking around an outdoor kitchen.
The 50-year-old former Seven celeb is seen sporting a drastic mullet haircut, with the sides of his head shaved:
Obviously vaccines are bad. Not âlicking toadsâ though. Thatâs cool. Forgotten pizza cook Pete Evans continues to have a normal one. @krunchymoses@petessciencepic.twitter.com/a5fDzGIups

Evans, who became a household name after hosting My Kitchen Rules for 11 years, raised eyebrows with his controversial health views, but in 2020 emerged as a full-blown coronavirus sceptic.
The same year, he was slapped with a $25,000 fine by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for selling a $15,000 “BioCharger” device he falsely claimed could fight Covid.
Another video posted to the Instagram account of Evans and wife Nicola Robinson’s wellness retreat gives a clearer look at his eye-catching new haircut:
Once one of Australia’s most beloved restaurateurs, Evans quit his television career in 2020, effectively marking his break from the mainstream after steadily increasing his support for conspiracy theories and non-scientific beliefs.
His fall from grace since was swift – the father-of-two was booted off Facebook and Instagram for sharing misinformation about the coronavirus pandemic, and dropped by 15 sponsors and companies in the space of 48 hours in November 2020 after posting a meme featuring a neo-Nazi symbol to his social media.
At the time, industry insiders speculated the Nazi scandal could easily end up costing Evans’ “millions” in lost TV appearances and endorsements.
Since then, he has largely kept out of the spotlight, buying a $1 million tourist “healing” retreat near Byron Bay in 2021 and subsequently charging guests a small fortune for wellness sessions.
Upcoming events at the property include a “fasting retreat,” with the enticing offer to “join Pete for a 5-day juice, water and broth fast” for $2250 per person.
When news first broke of Evans’ latest “fasting retreat” business venture earlier this year, Facebook users were quick to roast the former chef.
“So they pay probably over 2k to..... breathe? and not eat?” one questioned, while another joked that “for those prices at least you’d want some drugs involved”.
“I wonder if these mugs wake up on day two. Take a few really deep breaths. And realise they have been taken for fools,” another wrote, while another posted: “Credit where credit’s due. Fasting retreat!!! That’s a f***en awesome grift. Good on him a little bit”.
“Quite extraordinary really to think of how he used to judge cooking on TV and now he’s just a cooker,” wrote another.
“He has aged like milk in these couple of years,” one said, with another adding “feral doesn’t begin to describe it”.
Evans now shares content with his follows on alternative platform Telegram after being booted from Facebook and Instagram in early 2021 for “repeatedly sharing” Covid misinformation.
Along with spruiking his latest pricey retreats, Evans’ Telegram channel is also littered with anti-vax commentary, right-wing political sentiments and bitcoin updates.
