REBEL Wilson has called out an Australian reporter on Twitter by posting a photo of a woman and labelling her “total scum”. But she may have the wrong person.

Earlier today, the 35-year-old took to social media to take a swipe at an editor named Elizabeth Wilson who works at Bauer Media (formerly ACP magazines).

“If your name is Elizabeth Wilson and you work for ACP Magazines, just know that you are a disgrace for harassing my sweet, sick grandma,” Wilson tweeted.

She then followed it up by posting an image of a woman named Elizabeth Wilson who is the senior features editor at House & Garden magazine, which is published by Bauer Media. But it seems Wilson may have her wires crossed.

Soon after her posts, people were quick to respond to Wilson suggesting she has the wrong reporter.

“Could you please take down this photo. This is not the right Elizabeth Wilson. Elizabeth in this photo is from House&Garden Mag,” Kayla Gex replied on Twitter. “The Elizabeth Wilson in this photo is the loveliest person in the world & it is unfair for her photo to be posted to the world,” she continued.

“You have the wrong Elizabeth Wilson. This Liz works for House&Garden and hasn’t harassed anyone. A case of mistaken identity,” Katlyn Macdonald wrote.

News.com.au contacted House & Garden for a comment from Elizabeth Wilson, but were told she was so distressed by the incident that she had left for the day.

Since Wilson posted the tweets to her two million followers, the editor has received an onslaught of trolling.

Speaking with mamamia.com.au, the editor said “this is so far out of the realm of what I deal with” at House & Garden. She said she was “gobsmacked” and assured she didn’t harass “sweet, sick grandmas”.

Wilson has since deleted the tweet with the photo.
