Studio 10 host Sarah Harris blasts a misogynistic Twitter troll who made accusations about her body

Sarah Harris defended herself against a Twitter troll who made horrendous remarks about the way she dresses on Studio 10.

While many celebrities take the high road and ignore the various negative comments they receive from time to time, Sarah Harris put one Twitter troll in their place when they made a misogynistic comment about her.

The Studio 10 host fired back at a Twitter user named John Smith on Wednesday, after he accused her of using her body to “bolster ratings”.

“My estimation of Australia took rather a nosedive, seeing how you use your body, to bolster flagging ratings?” he offensively wrote.

“Who are you trying to control?” he then asked.

In a hilarious clap back, Sarah replied with a photo of Elizabeth Moss wearing her head-to-toe red cloak from the television series The Handmaid’s Tale.

“Thanks so much for your feedback on my TV wardrobe John,” she wrote.

“You’re right, skin is the devil’s work (especially WOMEN’S KNEES. Gross) and ladies must be covered from neck to ankles at all times.”

“Just checking today’s look meets your exacting standards?’ she added.

Peter Van Onselen, political editor for Channel 10 tweeted a series of clapping-hands emojis.

ABC journalist Caro Meldrum-Hanna wrote: “Hahahahhahha YAS QUEEEEEN!”

“Eight followers - it looks like John might be struggling to get traction on #Tinder,” one viewer added.

In March, the host announced her shock split from her husband of seven years Tom Ward.

Harris, 39, confirmed the split to the Sydney Morning Herald with a statement saying: “Tom and I are taking time apart, however we remain good friends and deeply committed to co-parenting our two beautiful boys.”

Harris and IT specialist Ward wed in 2014 after dating for five years. The wedding was held in the St Ignatius Chapel at Sydney private boys’ high school Riverview, with a reception at the Royal Sydney Golf Club in Rose Bay.

They have two children together, Paul and Harry, and Harris last year said they were thinking of expanding their family.

“Having a third child is something we’re currently contemplating … I’m getting on!” she told Woman’s Day.
