Eccentric tobacco tycoon Travers ‘Candyman’ Beynon has hosted hand-picked guests for an exclusive Australia Day party at his lavish Gold Coast mansion, including the late Steve Irwin’s niece Rebecca Lobie.

Videos of the event on Thursday show hundreds dancing in the sun around the multi-millionaire businessman’s pool.

The “Candy Shop Mansion” in Helensvale has its own website and Instagram - with footage shared online showing dozens of women twerking in bikinis and lingerie at the party.

In addition to Lobie, guests included Married At First Sight’s Tamara Djordjevic and Samantha Moitzi, and Mr Beynon’s son Valentino, who was DJ, and fashion model daughter Lucciana.

The mansion has 15 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a 21-car garage, 250,000-litre infinity pool, swim-up bar, and 27-tonne statue.

The invite-only January 26 event was open to applications, requiring a photo and links to the applicant’s social media handles.

The final question on the Candy Shop Mansion’s party application form asked whether the person had a Candyman or Freechoice tattoo.

Mr Beynon is owner and managing director of the Freechoice tobacco chain, and is said to be worth $200 million.

Applications were not only accepted by the Candy Shop Mansion for elaborate parties, but also to be one of Mr Beynon’s girlfriends.

The 50-year-old is married to Taesha Beynon, who helps her husband choose his girlfriends via the online application.

“Being the girlfriend of Mr Beynon aka The Candyman not only must you be attractive to be considered as a girlfriend, but you must be fun, bubbly, out-going, spontaneous, adventurous and respectful to everyone,” the mansion’s website reads.

It adds: “It is very important to maintain your presentation: this will include keeping your nails manicured, your hair styled, maintain a tan, having makeup done to a high standard, stylish clothing, eating well and keeping fit which will all be taken care of by Mr Beynon.”

Lashes, facials, massages, cosmetic enhancements, make-up and beauty products, a car and spending are listed as inclusions in the arrangement, if selected by Mr and Mrs Beynon.
