Singer Adele’s estranged father has been tracked down in the UK, after the pair fell out

She is one of the biggest names on the planet, but Adele’s estranged father is living in obscurity after their bitter falling out.

Adele’s estranged father has been discovered scraping a living as a delivery driver in the UK.

Mark Evans, 55, who has not spoken to his daughter for years after a bitter falling-out, earns £50 ($AU92) a day delivering packages for the company Yodel, according to The Sun.

The publication photographed the reformed alcoholic on his rounds near Cardiff this week.

It came as his world famous daughter, worth around £140 million ($AU257 million), was spotted at a New York recording studio, sparking rumours she is working on her fourth album.

Mark left Adele’s mum Penny when the singer was three and was not around much when she grew up.

Adele, 30, cut him out of her life in 2011 after he spoke publicly about their private lives and suggested his absence over the years was to blame for his daughter’s rocky love life.

Adele said at the time: “He’ll never hear from me again.”

A source said: “He knows he’s made mistakes but he’d love to patch things up and get a bit of forgiveness.

“He’s not after her money or anything, he just wants to be a normal grandad and buy his grandson ice cream and stuff.

“He’s heartbroken. He hasn’t got a life really, he’s just existing. He used to be a plumber but switched to the driving a few months ago.”

Mark, who lives alone in a small rented house in Bridgend, South Wales, has previously admitted being a “rotten father”.

He did not see her for three years after his dad died in 1999 and he turned to alcohol.

“I was putting away two litres of vodka and seven or eight pints of Stella every day,” he said.

“I drank like that for three years. I was deeply ashamed at what I’d become and I knew the kindest thing I could do for Adele was to make sure she never saw me in that state. I made Oliver Reed look like a teetotaller.”

Mark is said to have desperately tried to patch things up with Adele over the years.

She ignored a plea from him in 2013 when he had surgery for bowel cancer, the disease that killed dad John.

Just last week Adele was spotted with Jennifer Lawrence at a gay bar in New York.

The Hello singer had a public stab at her father after winning big at the 2017 Grammys, where she thanked Jonathan Dickins who she credited as the “mastermind” behind her comeback.

“Thank you to my manager because the comeback, as it were, was completely masterminded by him. And you executed it incredibly, and I owe you everything,” she began.

“We’ve been together for 10 years, and I love you like you’re my dad. I love you so, so much. I don’t love my dad, that’s the thing. That doesn’t mean a lot.”

Adele, who owns mansions in Sussex and London worth more than £10 million ($AU18.4 million), had son Angelo in 2012 with husband Simon Konecki, 44.

She keeps her family extremely private and away from the public eye.

Last week, Adele was pictured in New York partying with best pal, actor Jennifer Lawrence in the gay bar, Pieces.
