SHANE Warne has all but confirmed his relationship is over, with the cricket star hinting his past indiscretions may have caught up with him.

Warne and Hurley reunite

WE KNOW you've heard it before, but apparently Shane Warne and Elizabeth Hurley have called it quits for good.

According to Hello! Magazine, the famous duo recently ended their relationship, with a source saying, "It is very sad and they tried to make it work but there were just too many issues in the way."

"Elizabeth is taking it one day at a time. She will always be extremely fond of Shane," the insider added.

Overnight, in one of his typically cryptic tweets, Warne hinted that perhaps his past indiscretions had caught up with him.

48-year-old Hurley will spend Christmas with her son at the 13-bedroom mansion in Herefordshire in England that she and Warne reportedly purchased for $10 million cash.

Warne will remain in Australia for the holiday season covering the Ashes for Channel 9 and will spend Christmas with his family, and potentially his ex-wife Simone Callaghan.

Warne and Hurley were last spotted together in Sydney just over a month ago when the Bedazzled star came down under to promote her fashion line with Queenspark.

The couple got engaged in September 2011, with the former cricketer presenting the Hurley with a stunning sapphire ring.

But the relationship has been rocky ever since, with reports that they struggled with their demanding work schedules and claims that Hurley was fuming about Warne's closeness to his ex-wife.
