Shakira becomes first person ever to get 100 million Facebook likes

WHICH songstress has become the first person in the world to get 100 million ‘likes’ on her Facebook page?

SHAKIRA has become the first person to get 100 million likes on her Facebook page.

Buoyed by the popularity of the World Cup, the singer, who performed at the closing ceremony, hit the milestone this week.

The only two Facebook pages with more likes than Shakira are now those for the social media site itself and its mobile app.

The Colombian beauty was clearly delighted by the news.

“I am honoured and humbled about reaching this milestone,” the 37-year-old Colombia-born beauty said. “Social media and specifically Facebook has helped myself and other artists bridge the gap between the stage and the audience.”

Shakira posted a video of her most important Facebook moment since she joined in 2008, including pictures with partner Gerard Pique and their son, Milan.

The singer has also amassed a lot of fans filling in for Christina Aguilera on The Voice in the US.

Together since 2010 ... Shakira and her partner Gerard Pique.

Her social media achievement was even acknowledged by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg

“Congrats!” he wrote on her page. in a comment on her page. He added, “What an amazing milestone for an amazing person.”
