Sarah Jessica Parker speaks out after being branded ‘cruel’ by SATC co-star Kim Cattrall
AFTER being branded “cruel” in a scathing public take-down by Kim Cattrall, Sarah Jessica Parker has spoken out.
SARAH Jessica Parker has broken her silence to dismiss rumours of a bitter feud with Kim Cattrall after the actress branded her “cruel” and “toxic” in a scathing Instagram post.
Parker, 52, insisted she has been refusing to respond to Cattrall’s “hurtful” comments about her, The Sun reports.
Rumours of a falling-out between the pair have been rife for a long time, with Cattrall, 61, speaking out against her in an interview with Piers Morgan last year — claiming she torpedoed plans for Sex and the City 3.
The reported feud boiled over this week as Cattrall blasted her former co-star on Instagram, accusing her of “exploiting” her brother’s death to boost her “nice girl” persona.
Parker has now spoken out about her relationship with Cattrall in an interview with America’s People , which was published four days after the post.
Speaking to the magazine about the movie that never was, she said: “It’s really funny because I never talked about it, except [to say] that some of us were disappointed.
“But I never responded to the conversation Kim had with Piers Morgan, where she said things that were really hurtful about me.
“So there was no fight; it was completely fabricated, because I actually never responded. And I won’t, because she needed to say what she needed to say, and that is her privilege.”
Appearing on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, Cattrall said of Parker: “I really think she could have been nicer. I don’t know what her issue is.”
More recently, she slammed Parker after the actress sent her best wishes following Cattrall’s brother’s death.
Posting a message to her Instagram, she wrote: “I don’t need your love or support at this tragic time @sarahjessicaparker.”
Leaving a lengthy caption, she continued to blast the actress.
She wrote: “My Mom asked me today ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’
“Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now.
“Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend.”
