Russell Crowe’s girlfriend collects new puppy in private jet round trip
Russell Crowe has introduced his new dog, Ezekiel, to fans – and the pup is already living the high life with his famous dad.
Russell Crowe has introduced his new puppy, Ezekiel, to fans during an appearance on breakfast radio this morning, revealing he sent his girlfriend to pick the pup up in a private jet.
Appearing The Kyle & Jackie O Show, the Oscar winner spoke of the loving way Ezekiel came into his and girlfriend Britney Theriot’s life weeks after they tragically lost their dog, Louis the Papillion, in March.
“At first we were both like, ‘Well, he’s irreplaceable, we can’t get another puppy,” Crowe told hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson. “That was just a really difficult hole to fill.”
“We put so much emotion into that little dog and then he died as tragically as he did,” he continued. “The only way we could really stop that from being so harsh was to get another puppy.”
The couple lost little Louis at just 16 months old when he was tragically hit by a truck. But their grief was eased when Theriot came across a photo of a dog who looked just like Louis.
They knew instantly that they needed that dog in their lives - so off Britney went to retrieve him in a private jet.
“I’m dealing with Britney, whose level of grief was so deep that I put her on a little jet and sent her to go see the dog, then she picked up the dog and came home,” Crowe recalled.
“I know it makes me look like a bit of a tosser, but you know it’s about ‘what do I need to do right now to help Britney.’”
This is Louis the Papillion.

Tiny, cheeky, brave. He won my heart.
Unfortunately today, on the second anniversary of my fathers passing, Louis was hit by a truck.

The couple were heartbroken when Louis was killed back in March, with the actor sharing the sad news on Twitter.
Louis’ passing also fell on the second death anniversary of Crowe’s father, John.
“This is Louis the Papillion. 16 months old. Tiny, cheeky, brave. He won my heart,” Crowe tweeted at the time. “Unfortunately today, on the second anniversary of my father’s passing, Louis was hit by a truck.”
