Where Prince Harry and Meghan are staying on Fraser Island
PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle have just enjoyed a romantic night together at a lavish eco resort on Fraser Island. Here’s what it’s like inside.
PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle finally had a night and day to themselves, amid a whirlwind royal tour of Australia.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent Monday night holed up in Kingfisher Bay Resort, an eco resort on Fraser Island, where they undertook official duties yesterday.
ROYAL TOUR: Meghan’s ‘Diana’ moment
Today, they’ll fly out to Fiji for a three-day tour, after spending the morning having a bit of R&R on the popular sand island.
The plush accommodation boasts a health spa, cocktail bar, fine dining restaurant and lavish pool.
The Kingfisher Bay Resort website has dedicated plenty of space on its homepage to announcing the arrival of the royal couple.
Under the heading “ROYAL VISIT to Fraser Island”, the site reads: “Have you heard the news? Our beloved piece of sandy paradise was selected as the ONLY Queensland destination on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s official Australian tour — and they will be arriving on the 22nd October at our very own, very humble, Kingfisher Bay Resort jetty!”
Other sections of the site are dedicated to describing why the royals have been attracted to Fraser Island (such as the local rainforest).
Prince Harry and Meghan will arrive in the Fijian capital of Suva this afternoon, where they’ll be guests of honour at a state dinner and reception hosted by the President this evening.
