Her Majesty, 96, has attended this event every year since she ascended to the throne in 1952.

The Queen has pulled out of attending Royal Ascot as she battles her ongoing mobility issues.

Her Majesty, 96, loves to go to Ascot and has been to every Royal Meeting since ascending to the throne in 1952.

She will be replaced by Prince Charles, Camilla and Peter Phillips.

The Queen has a horse, King’s Lynn, running in the King’s Stand Stakes later this afternoon, UK time.

The move comes amid fears for the Queen’s health, with Her Majesty forced to pull out of a string of engagements in recent months.

She attended yesterday’s Order of the Garter service alongside Charles and Camilla, using a walking stick to help her get around.

The Monarch was forced to miss the Epsom Derby and a service at St Pauls’s Cathedral during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations, but appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony for a fly-past.

Before that, she attended the Chelsea Flower Show with the help of a mobility scooter.

The Queen’s health issues appeared to start last year, when she was forced to miss the Remembrance Day service with a sprained back.

She later came down with COvid, but continued to hold meetings via videolink.
