Samantha Markle begs Meghan to ‘end the rift’ with their father Thomas
Samantha Markle has begged her sister to “end the rift” with their father, warning he could die in the next year.
Meghan Markle’s sister has penned an emotional Christmas card begging her to “end the rift with Dad” - warning he could die in the next year.
Samantha Markle sent the heartbreaking note in a desperate bid to reunite the family before it is too late.
She fears their father Thomas - who has suffered from debilitating heart problems - may not live until next Christmas.
In the festive card - seen by The Mirror- Samantha tells the former Hollywood actress: “Holidays are a time for family and are sentimental.”
“Dad has been trying to contact you and is very hurt because you are avoiding him.
“Life is short and you know Dad is wonderful.”
She added: “Please give him joy in his last years by showing you love him. The time is now.”
And speaking to the paper, Samantha, 54, said she fears the Duchess will regret not reaching out to her ailing dad.
Samantha, who is Meghan’s half-sister by their father Thomas, said: “I’m hoping that won’t be the case, but it would be tragic and sad if he doesn’t get to be around to resolve this.
“I think Meg would harbour a lot of regret if this were his last Christmas alive and she didn’t reach out and make things right.
“There is not another day or week guaranteed, so Meg needs to act quickly. The clock is ticking.”
Ex-Suits actress Meghan, 37, broke off contact with Thomas after he took part in staged paparazzi shots before her wedding to Prince Harry in May.
He posed for faked photos apparently showing him being measured for his wedding suit - and reading a book about British history.
But his health quickly deteriorated and he was not able to attend the nuptials.
Thomas has since claimed he has been “ghosted” by pregnant Meghan and his royal in-laws.
In a swipe at Prince Harry, Samantha - Thomas’ daughter by his first wife Roslyn - added: “We all looked up to him but he doesn’t seem to care anything about this family.
“Whether you’re royal or not, you married into our family too and nobody is above being decent.”
It comes after Samantha slammed Meghan and Harry’s official Christmas card - claiming it showed she had “turned her back on her family”.
The card is fronted with a black-and-white image of the royal couple arm-in-arm facing away from the camera as they watch a spectacular fireworks display on their wedding day.
Taking to Twitter, the American wrote: “Interesting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have their backs turned.
“Is this towards the world or just the Ragland and Markle family?
“It’s a bit sad. Face the Christmas spirit.”
She later added: “It’s incredibly rude to turn your back in a Christmas photo that is meant to share warmth and good wishes with the world.
“Those that criticize me for pointing out the truth, need to get that brown stuff off their noses.
“I hear the world’s smallest violin playing.”
