Prince Harry’s ex Cressida Bonas reveals her one worry about the royal wedding

AS YOU would expect, Cressida Bonas was daunted by the prospect of attending the wedding of her ex, Prince Harry. But not for the reason you’d think.

CRESSIDA Bonas was among two ex-girlfriends Prince Harry invited to his wedding to Meghan Markle last week.
As would be expected, Ms Bonas has admitted to feeling daunted at the thought of attending the high-profile event — just not for the reason you might think.

In a column for the Spectator, the actor said she was worried about going because the invitation had stipulated she must wear a hat.

“Why do I find hats so tricky? Tricky to wear, tricky to look at, and extremely tricky for the poor soul sitting in the pew behind. Most of the time I avoid headgear,” Ms Bonas wrote.

“Last weekend I attended the royal wedding. The invitation clearly stated that guests must wear hats.

“Yikes. I opted for a minimal feathered number — and can only hope I got it right.”

Ms Bonas began dating Harry in 2012 after being introduced by his cousin, Princess Eugenie.

The couple amicably split in 2014 after two years together, amid reports Ms Bonas had struggled with life in the spotlight.

Harry’s ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy was also invited to his wedding, but was pictured looking tense following the ceremony.

The pair dated on and off from 2004 to 2011 and remain good friends.

In the days before Harry tied the knot with Meghan he reportedly shared a “tearful phone call” with Davy.

“It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on,” a source toldVanity Fair.

Harry’s other ex, Chelsy Davy, looked tense at the wedding.

“Chelsy was quite emotional about it all. She was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding.”

Neither Ms Davy nor Ms Bonas were invited to the evening reception at Frogmore House, something Ms Davy was said to have been upset by.

“In the end, she went [to the ceremony] and promised Harry she wouldn’t try and gatecrash the party,” the insider added.
