Meghan Markle’s dad spotted in sweet gesture ahead of royal wedding
THOMAS Markle Senior wanted to be prepared for his daughter’s wedding to a British royal — so he sat down in his local Starbucks to do some background research.
BLESS.
Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Senior, has been spotted doing some background research ahead of his daughter’s highly-anticipated wedding to Prince Harry next month.
Becoming father-in-law to a British royal is something few would expect to do in their lifetime, and it’s clear Mr Markle wanted to be prepared.
The 73-year-old Emmy Award-winning former lighting director was seen sitting in his local Starbucks in Rosarito, Mexico, studiously thumbing through a copy of Images of Britain: A Pictorial Journey Through History.
Markle Snr, who lives a quiet life in Mexico after retiring from his work in Hollywood, is expected to walk Meghan down the aisle when she weds Prince Harry on May 19th at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
There were rumours he would be blanked after Meghan decided against asking half-brother Thomas Jnr and half-sister Samantha, The Sun reported.
But a family friend told the newspaper in March: “Thomas Snr is overjoyed to be beside his little girl on the day she becomes a princess — even if he has to battle his demons to get there.
“He’s not exactly thrilled at facing the world’s glare. He lives a reclusive life in Mexico.
“But nothing will stop him from having Meghan on his arm for the big day.”
