Real reason Harry and Meghan pics were deleted after Kris Jenner party: source

Insiders have lifted the lid on what really happened behind the scenes to cause Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian to delete pics of the royals.

A representative for Prince Harry and Meghan asked Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian to remove pictures of them from social media following an A-list bash over the weekend, a source has claimed.

The insider told Page Six that someone from their team had reached out to the reality stars after the images emerged in an Instagram album following Jenner’s 70th birthday party on Saturday night.

As of Tuesday morning, LA time, those photos appeared to have been removed.

“They don’t want to p*** off the royal family while they are trying to reconcile,” the source said, supporting claims that emerged last month about Meghan supporting Harry’s attempts to reconcile with his family, particularly his father, behind the scenes.

“They need the [royal] family,” they said. “Meghan is aware of that.”

In the since-deleted pictures posted by Jenner from the black tie 007-themed event at the weekend, hosted by Amazon boss Jeff Bezos at his sprawling Beverly Hills mansion, Harry and Meghan could be seen posing alongside the momager in their glitzy surroundings.

In another picture, a smiling Kardashian and Meghan were cosied up together while Harry was seen chatting to another guest in the background.

Page Six reports that the image removal request was also out of respect for Remembrance Day in Britain, honouring fallen soldiers, which fell on November 11. Harry was pictured wearing a poppy to mark the occasion while at Jenner’s party.

A copy of Jenner’s birthday invitation was posted on Substack, which showed that guests were warned about a ban on phones ahead of their arrival at the star-studded event.

“To ensure that all guests fully enjoy the evening and maintain everyone’s privacy, please note that phones will not be permitted during the event. Upon arrival there will be a phone check-in,” it read.

According to People magazine, a photo consent form had been issued ahead of time, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had both checked the “no” box, which was why they’d reached out to Kardashian and Jenner about the images.

Jenner’s birthday party was quite possibly the most star-studded event in Hollywood history, attracting showbiz’s biggest names, tech and business moguls – and even royalty in the form of Harry and Meghan.

Also in attendance were Jenner’s five daughters, Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce and her mum, Tina Knowles, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Vin Diesel, Adele, Ryan Murphy and Tyler Perry – who is also godfather to Harry and Meghan’s four-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet.
