Queen Consort Camilla has cancelled a planned visit because she has contracted a “seasonal illness”, Buckingham Palace says.
The King’s wife, 75, had been due to carry out a number of engagements including visiting a ballet school and a library in England’s West Midlands.
She was set to travel there on her own, with Charles otherwise occupied.
Camilla is believed to have picked up a heavy cold or something similar.
Doctors have ordered the royal to rest at home on Monday and Tuesday.
The Queen Consort and the King have a joint engagement lined up for Thursday, which she hopes to recover in time for.
