A video of Prince William riding an electric scooter on the grounds of Windsor Castle has gone viral.
The clip which shows the future king whizzing around on the royal estate has clocked up millions of views across various social media platforms since the video first circulated online on Thursday.
In the clip, the 42-year-old monarch rode his electric scooter down a pathway at Windsor Castle before making a turn and disappearing from view.
The Prince of Wales kept it casual chic in a white shirt under a blue jumper and black trousers, which he teamed with a pair of dark sunglasses.
Social media has lapped up the footage, with many praising the “dad energy” of the “Prince of Wheels”.
“Prince William is definitely the COOLEST PRINCE EVER!!” tweeted one. “Rocking up on an electric scooter, with his sunnies - on his way to a meeting (?), I LOVE IT!”
“Hahaha yes! It’s the shades for me. And the formal-ish outfit obvs for a meeting,” added another Twitter user.
“One thing is to read that Prince William often rides around Windsor Castle on an electric scooter, and another is to see him riding around Windsor Castle on an electric scooter. This Prince is the best,” another added.
It’s believed William was dropping by Windsor Castle to visit his father, King Charles, who was there on Thursday before heading back to Buckingham Palace in London to meet with new British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
According to The Sun, William bought the electric scooter last year to help him cut down the 15-minute walk to Windsor Castle from his Adelaide Cottage home, which he shares with wife Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales and their three children.
“It just makes sense. He whizzes up to the castle when he needs to see the King,” an insider source told the publication.
“It’s a two or three-mile [4.8km] round trip from his family home at Adelaide Cottage to Windsor Castle so it’s easier by scooter than car or walking.”
