Photo of Prince Philip disproves rumour that Prince Charles is not Prince Harry’s father
A vintage photo of Prince Philip circulating online has seemingly put to bed a long-running rumour plaguing the royal family.
An unearthed magazine cover featuring Prince Philip is circulating on social media today, reminding royal fans just how much Prince Harry takes after his late grandfather.
It comes after years of whispers from royal gossips that Harry is the son of Princess Diana’s former lover, James Hewitt, and not Prince Charles.

The Paris Match magazine cover from 1957, when Philip would have been in his mid-30s, sees the Duke smiling into the camera in his naval uniform.
Sharing the photo today, photographer Chris Jackson said the “fantastically suave” snap was taken while he was on tour with the Queen in France.
“I was reminded today of this incredible vintage @parismatch_magazine from 1957 I acquired a few years ago. I was blown away the minute I spotted it. It always reminds me of the unique, historic reference points that royal photography provides. The front cover features a fantastically suave Prince Philip on tour with The Queen,” he wrote on Instagram.
Commenting on the post, Jackson’s followers were quick to point out Harry’s likeness to Duke, with one writing: “I thought it was Harry.”
Another said: “This is the first time I saw that Prince Harry looks exactly like his grandfather.”
“For anyone saying Harry is not Charles’s son, he looks exactly like Philip here!” one more added.

The comment was referring to long-held rumours that Harry’s father was not Prince Charles, but actually Princess Diana’s riding instructor, James Hewitt.
The pair did have a five-year affair, and over the years many have claimed Prince Harry bears a strong resemblance to Mr Hewitt – thanks largely to their shared red hair.
In an interview with Sunday Night in 2017, Hewitt commented on the years of speculation Harry may be his son.
“It sells papers,” he said. “It’s worse for him (Harry) probably, poor chap.”
Harry touched down in London yesterday for Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday, with his pregnant wife Meghan Markle told to stay home in the US.
While Harry and his grandfather shared a close bond due to their joint love with the military, his relationship with Prince Philip reportedly came under strain over the past year.
According to the Duke of Edinburgh’s biographer Ingrid Seward, the Duke was so dismayed by his grandson’s decision to step down from royal duties, he did not meet with Harry when he visited Sandringham.
During a recent interview with James Corden, Harry revealed that he had participated in video calls with Philip, but it is not known when the two royals last spoke.
According to reports, Prince Philip was briefed about Harry and Meghan’s Oprah interview after he was discharged from hospital last month. He was said to be “deeply disappointed” by the move, according to royal expert Kate Nicholl.
