Prince Harry relegated to the cheaps seats at King Charles III’s coronation

Estranged royal Prince Harry won’t have been happy when he landed in London and learned of his relegation to the cheap suits for King Charles’ coronation.

King Charles will have a very ‘good go’ of keeping monarchy together

Prince Harry might have to follow some of the coverage of his father Kings Charles III’s coronation on his phone, like the rest of us, amid relevations the estranged royal will be ‘a long way from his father’ during the Coronation ceremony.

Prince Harry touched down in London for his father’s coronation early Saturday AEST, reportedly arriving on a commercial flight with plans to jet off again straight after the ceremony for his son’s birthday in California.

After rumours the Duke of Sussex had taken a private jet from the US to the UK, The New York Post revealed he caught a commercial flight for King Charles’s big day, touching down on Friday evening in London.

He was expected to stay overnight at his old home of Frogmore Cottage before he was officially evicted from the Windsor estate by the royal family.

A source said Harry planned to fly back to California - where his wife Meghan remained with their children Archie and Lilbet - as soon as two hours after the coronation.

“Harry’s going to make every effort to get back in time for Archie’s birthday,” the source told the New York Post.

However Harry would have been less that delighted when he found out about the seating plans for his father’s big day.

The Sun reports, the Prince of Sussex has been relegated to the third row for the Coronation ceremony - the royal equivalent of the cheap seats - alongside his cousins.

He will sit between Princess Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank and Princess Alexandra — Queen Elizabeth’s cousin whose last royal working engagement was 10 years ago.

Alongside will be Prince Andrew’s daughters Eugenie, 33, and sister Beatrice, 34, with her husband Edo Mapelli Mozzi.

The front row is reserved for senior working royals — William and Kate, Edward and Sophie and their children Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex, plus Princess Anne and her husband Tim Laurence.

An insider told The Sun: “There were discussions that the seating could be arranged on line of succession.

But that would have put fifth-in-line Harry front and centre — and with William and Kate.

“Instead the decision was working royals only at the front and work back from there. Harry will be a long way from his father.”

The Duke will arrive with other non-working royals at 10.35am (local time).

He is set to leave soon after the ceremony and fly home for son Archie’s fourth birthday.

PRINCE HARRY’S HUGE TEST WITHOUT MEGHAN

Prince Harry will be reunited with his family on Saturday in London for the first time since tipping the bucket on them in his controversial memoir Spare.

But while King Charles’s close friend Lord Nicholas Soames said the book was a “terrible blow”, he said it would have been a “great pity” if the Duke of Sussex skipped the Coronation.

Harry’s wife Meghan remained behind in Los Angeles for their son Archie’s fourth birthday, as her estranged half-sister Samantha accused her of trying to upstage the Coronation and claimed the couple needed counselling.

It is likely to be a frosty reception for Harry from most of his family in London but the Duke of Sussex can take comfort in the fact there will be at least eight allies — and members of his inner circle — to lean on during the Coronation.

He won’t get any support from his brother, Prince William. Harry’s biographer predicted William will snub him at the Coronation.

Speaking to GB News, Angela Levin said: “He’s furious with him. He invaded his privacy while he was suing other people for invading his own.

“He wants to protect Catherine and he’s realised that it’s been very difficult for her, she’s had to learn how to donate herself to the royal family, which he has done absolutely brilliantly.

“He doesn’t want some snippet attacking her and being unkind.”

More comfort will come from one of his closest confidantes, his cousin Princess Eugenie. The younger royal will be at the Coronation with her husband Jack Brooksbank.

The pair have become close with the Sussexes and will likely be a big support to Prince Harry on the day.

Others in his inner circle expected to attend the Coronation include his beloved former nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke and his “second dad” royal aid and former Welsh Guard Mark Dyer.

US First Lady Dr Jill Biden and the illusionist Dynamo are also backers.

And ambassadors of the Prince’s Trust, TV hosts Ant McParland and Dec Donnelly have supported Prince Harry’s work around World Mental Health Day.

But Lord Soames, the grandson of Winston Churchill, told Times Radio that Harry’s comments in his January memoir — including a scathing attack on his stepmother Queen Camilla — were the “most tragic” and “cruellest” behaviour from a son.

“Of course, the King was very, very sad,” he said.

“(Harry) is coming and I just hope that we can keep all this in proportion. This is the day about the King and the Queen, not about Prince Harry.”

Journalist Omid Scobie, who wrote a book about the Sussexes, said Prince Harry had maintained a “somewhat regular pattern of conversation” with King Charles since his book was released, although they had not “discussed the details and the points that he wanted to go into”.

He said there had been “minimal contact” between Prince Harry and his brother Prince William.

The pair are unlikely to spend much time together during Harry’s flying visit this weekend.

Samantha Markle claimed Prince Harry and Meghan were “at an impasse” after an awkward kiss-camera moment during a rare recent public appearance at an NBA game in Los Angeles.

“It’s telling the rest of the world, all of us, that they are at an impasse and maybe they’re making decisions to part,” she told GB News, despite not having had a relationship with Meghan for almost a decade.
