Prince Harry opens up about ‘burnout’, ‘pressures’ during life-coaching summit

The Duke of Sussex made a surprise appearance at a US summit, where he spoke candidly before posing for a photo with a Hollywood star.

Prince Harry has opened up about the “pressures of today’s world” and experiencing “burnout” during a life-coaching panel in San Francisco.

The Duke of Sussex appeared at the Uplift summit hosted by BetterUp – of which he is Chief Impact Officer – alongside Dr Adam Grant, BetterUp’s chairman of the Centre for Purpose and Performance, and Kelly Jones, who is Chief People Officer at technology firm Cisco on Wednesday.

While his speech did not appear on the livestream of the event, a post on his and Meghan Markle’s official website described how the trio “dove into the psychological toll of leading through uncertainty, sharing personal anecdotes, evidence-based practices, and forward-thinking policies aimed at helping leaders thrive amid the pressures of today’s world and modern corporate life”.

It also showed Harry in four photos, including with actress and fellow speaker Mindy Kaling.

His appearance comes just a day after it emerged that he and Meghan are wading into US politics ahead of this year’s presidential election.

The couple, who moved to California in early 2020, partnered with the AI + Election Security Coalition, which “represents an acceleration of efforts to secure the 2024 election against threats enabled by artificial intelligence (AI).”

Their campaign, coinciding with November’s election, aims to “prepare US voters for a possible deepfake onslaught during the election year”, reports Axios.
