US First Lady Melania Trump has met with Britain’s Prince Harry in Toronto.

Mrs Trump travelled to the Canadian city to support American athletes participating in the Invictus Games.

The games are an Olympic-style competition for wounded service members and veterans that was founded by the prince in 2014.

Melania, wearing a black and white dog tooth Dior suit, smiled warmly as the pair shook hands for photographers — but the Prince’s smile dropped as he turned away from the cameras, The Sun reported.

Harry then asked the First Lady if she had been in the country long before they discussed the success of the Invictus Games, which was founded by the Prince.

The meeting took place in the Yorkville East conference room on the fourth floor of the Sheraton in central Toronto at 1.30pm before the official planned opening of the Invictus Games.

Mrs Trump was also due to meet with Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau and address the nearly 109 US athletes who are competing in the week-long event, according to The Sun.

Strict White House security flanked the event, anyone with authority to go in the room had all belongings search in a closed room before being allowed to enter.
