Prince Harry cut a lonely figure as he rushed to Balmoral on the night of Queen’s death. And it wasn’t much different behind closed doors.
Prince Harry “ate separately in a different house” from King Charles, his wife Camilla and Prince William on the night of the Queen’s death, a source has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex was the last to arrive at Balmoral after he flew up as news emerged of his grandmother’s failing health on Thursday.
The out-of-favour prince was reportedly refused a seat on the RAF plane that took his brother Prince William and his uncles Prince Edward and Prince Andrew up to Scotland.
Their late arrival meant King Charles, 73, and sister Anne, the Princess Royal, 72, were the only royals who managed to see the Queen before she died.
And now an insider has told how the rift between the brothers was clear at Balmoral after her death, The Sun reports.

They claim that when Prince Harry arrived at the royal estate, he did not join his grieving father and brother who had gone to King Charles’ nearby home – Birkhall.
The Duke of Sussex instead stayed with the Duke of York, the Earl of Wessex and Princess Anne.
The source told Richard Kay in the Mail: “Two dinners were being hosted on the royal estate that night and there was a clear divide.
“One was for the new king and his heir, the other was for the rest of the family.”
But on Saturday, Prince William, 40, issued a remarkable invite to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, to “show unity for the Queen” and see the flowers laid for her while meeting the public outside Windsor Castle along with his wife, Kate Middleton.
The Royal Family was virtually torn apart when the Sussex’s announced they were quitting the Royal Family and moving to the US.
But despite the apparent rift, the brothers united in their grief to pay tribute to their grandmother the Queen just days after her death.
They were last seen together in public at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
But they are believed to have kept out of each other’s way and didn’t acknowledge each other during a service of remembrance at St Paul’s.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Prince William and Prince Harry could walk side-by-side behind the Queen’s coffin in plans to be discussed in coming days.
They were separated by their cousin Peter Phillips as they followed Prince Philip’s cortege at his funeral 17 months ago, during the height of their feud.
Palace planners are still putting finishing touches on arrangements for two royal family processions behind the Queen’s coffin in London.
However, The Sun understands there will be discussions about whether the brothers could again be seen at each other’s sides.
