Harry and Meghan ‘worried’ they are being ‘eased out’ of Royal Family

A royal expert has claimed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still a “liability to the Royal Family”.

Speaking with GB News Live with Patrick Christys, available to stream on Flash, American journalist Kinsey Schofield discussed whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be removed from the firm following their demotion from the royal website.

“Harry and Meghan right now are proving to be a liability to the monarchy,” she told the program.

“I think that if they do want to work their way back in, it’s going to take a long time to establish trust and they should work for that.

“I don’t think it’s as easy as ‘we’ve had a death in the family so let’s just move them back in’.

“They’ve done hurtful things, specifically the Oprah interview was just as detrimental to the Monarchy as the death of Princess Diana.

“That’s how horrible the feedback was for the Royal Family after the Oprah interview.”

The commentator added: “When I say they are a liability to the Royal Family, I am just addressing some of their actions since they moved to America.

“That’s not even including some of the horrible stories we’ve heard from Valentine Low from his new book Courtiers about the way that they treat people.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were “demoted” to the bottom of the Royal Family’s website alongside Prince Andrew and minor royals.

The pair are said to have previously sat about halfway down the official website, below senior royals and above minor members of the family, The Sun reported.

The Royal Family have updated their website.

The “demotion” comes as the Sussexes still wait for news on the titles of their children Archie and Lilibet.

King Charles is said to still be deciding on the title of the children, who, under his accession, are now qualified for the titles Prince and Princess.

Under protocols established by King George V in 1917, the Queen’s grandfather, the children and grandchildren of a sovereign have the automatic right to the title HRH and prince or princess.

But while the Palace has updated its website to move Archie and Lilibet to sixth and seventh in line respectively, their titles remain Master and Miss.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “We will be working through updating the website as and when we get information.”
