ONE of the Duchess of Sussex’s closest pals has paid tribute to her royal friend, recreating her now iconic engagement photos with stunning results.

MEGHAN Markle’s BFF Priyanka Chopra has recreated the royal’s now iconic engagement photos with stunning results.

Chopra, who became engaged to Nick Jonas in July, paid tribute to Meghan and Prince Harry’s engagement shoot with a similar photo taken at Ralph Lauren’s New York Fashion Week show last week.

Like Meghan and Harry, Chopra and Jonas clasp hands, showing off her engagement ring as the actress rests her arm on her rocker boyfriend’s leg.

Chopra also wears a similar black and silver evening gown to Meghan’s Ralph and Russo design which cost $105,000.

The similarities between the two photos are no mistake — both were shot by the same photographer, Alexi Lubomirski.

Chopra also attended Meghan and Harry’s wedding in May and went public with her romance with Jonas just weeks afterwards.

Meghan and Chopra met in 2016 after attending an event together, with the Suits actress telling the Press Trust of India they had connected instantly.

“And you know when you meet someone and you just ‘click’ … It was just an easy, natural progression.” Meghan said.

“We’ve managed to keep in touch via email and text, and try to see each other whenever we’re both in the same town.”

While Meghan was dating the prince last year, Chopra famously blasted US TV host Wendy Williams who wanted to only talk about “Prince Harry’s girlfriend”.

“Also, Meghan Markle, actress … Suits … her achievements, mmm-hmm, just saying.,” Chopra replied.
