Meghan Markle was snubbed by Prince Charles who didn’t include her in baby Archie birthday message

Royal watchers noticed a particular photo that Prince Charles shared seemed to not-so-subtly shade his daughter-in-law.

Meghan Markle appears to have been snubbed by Prince Charles, who didn’t include her in his birthday message to Archie.

Charles did not mention the Duchess of Sussex at all, instead sharing a photo of Prince Harry, himself and baby Archie on Instagram to celebrate his second birthday.

It all came after Meghan made very public accusations about the Royal Family, which included claims of racism against her and Archie.

Sharing a black-and-white photo of the Prince of Wales with Harry and his baby son, and writing: “Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today (cake emoji).”

“Well this is awkward,” one Twitter user wrote on the royal family post.

“This is awkward. No photos with H’s family to use,” another commenter posted.

“How sad that this is the only photo that the royal family can share,” another added.

The post is a marked contrast to the brand-new photo of Princess Charlotte shared by the same account for her sixth birthday just four days prior.

As for the official Royal Family page and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, they also used old photos.

“You really don’t have a single picture with him do you?” one Twitter user wrote. “Not one pic with your nephew other than a work photo?” one fan responded to Kate and William’s post.

“I see Meghan is still being cut out of The Firm’s family photos,” added another.

Several others pleaded with the royals to make up, encouraging Charles to “pick up the phone and wish your grandson a happy birthday” after Harry revealed in his Oprah interview that his father had stopped taking his calls.

Despite the 36-year-old seeing his family at Prince Philip’s funeral, relations still appear strained after the dramatic fallout to Meghan and Harry’s tell-all interview.

But despite the awkwardness, Meghan and Harry still celebrated their son’s birthday and shared a beautiful new black and white photo of him.

Alongside the photo, Meghan and Harry published a statement encouraging donations to benefit Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, which provides COVID-19 vaccines around the world.

“We have been deeply touched over the past two years to feel the warmth and support for our family in honor (sic) of Archie’s birthday,” Meghan, 39, and Harry, 36, wrote.

“Many of you donate to charities on his behalf, and mark the occasion by giving back or doing an act of service — all through the goodness of your hearts.

“You raise funds for those who need it most, and continue to do so organically and selflessly. We remain incredibly grateful.”

Archie is set to be a big brother in coming months with the impending arrival of Meghan and Harry’s second child, a girl.
