Meghan Markle to attend Met Gala in New York with Vogue editor Edward Winninful
The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly been invited to attend the Met Gala event, which is one of Hollywood’s most prestigious events.
Meghan Markle is set to make her first Hollywood appearance since quitting the royal family at the star-studded Met Gala in New York.
The Duchess of Sussex has been invited alongside Vogue editor Edward Enninful to the prestigious fashion bash on May 4.
With a theme based on Virginia Woolfe’s Orlando – in which the central character changes sex – the former Suits actress, 38, is expected to adopt a “glamorous androgynous” look.

The Met Gala is one of the most talked-about events in tinsel town, known for its strictly A-list guest list and wild fashion expression.
News of Meghan’s invite comes a month after she and Prince Harry announced they were stepping back from their royal duties and dividing their time between the UK and North America.
A source added: “The Met Gala is for the who’s who of show business.
“Naturally, Meghan was one of the first names on the guest list, and Edward’s team are excited that the two will go together.
“Meghan is keen to step out occasionally without Harry so that she can establish herself once more in Hollywood.”
At last year’s ball Harry Styles wore Gucci heels and a chiffon blouse, Katy Perry dressed in a giant chandelier, Lady Gaga stripped down to her underwear and Celine Dion donned a crystal-embroidered headpiece.
