Meghan Markle: Suits producers hope Duchess of Sussex will make final appearance as Rachel Zane

Producers of Meghan Markle’s career-making show hope she’ll make one last appearance, and they have a multimillion-dollar plan to coax her back.

Is the Kate v Meghan feud sexist?

TV bosses want Meghan Markle to reprise her role as Rachel Zane in Suits for one final brief appearance, reports claim.

If the Duchess of Sussex, 37, says yes, sources claim NBC Universal will pay a multimillion-dollar donation to the charity of her choice, The Sun reports.

The Mirror reports that NBC Universal is planning a cameo role of less than two minutes, which could be shot in the UK.

Meghan’s baby bump could be written into the script as her character Rachel got married in her final appearance last April.

One senior production source told the newspaper: “We could be done in half a day or less.”

He added: “No final figure has yet been arrived at but negotiations are likely to be opened in the very near future. I’ve heard sums ranging from two to six million being kicked around and that sounds a lot – but it would be one of the biggest marketing coups in TV history.”

Since the royal wedding, syndication deals for all seven seasons of the series in which she starred have been struck with TV stations in dozens of countries.

Suits has raked in a fortune with Meghan merchandise, especially mugs and T-shirts bearing an image of her character.

Meghan has clearly not ruled out a return to acting and is still paid up to her actors’ union in the US.

In that last episode of Suits, viewers saw Rachel marry law firm partner Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, who left the show at the same time.

The source added: “We could create a storyline where Rachel and Mike have created new lives for themselves and are starting a family, with Rachel showing an obvious baby bump.

“I believe we could get away with only one or two lines from Rachel, perhaps saying how she would never have believed she would have such a wonderful life. This particular route would beautifully mirror real life.

“It would give one or several charities a big boost, portray Meghan as a thoroughly modern royal… and give us one of the biggest ratings blockbusters of our existence.”

A former Suits colleague of Meghan’s told The Mirror: “This is all supposed to be hush, hush but it’s a bit of an open secret that they’d do anything to get her and Patrick back as guest stars.

“I think the fans would love to see Rachel and Mike – even fleetingly – in their new life together as husband and wife.”

The Sun has approached Kensington Palace for comment.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton have been spotted for the first time since the Christmas Day.

The Duchess of Cambridge was beaming as she brought back an old wardrobe favourite to join hubby William and the Queen at Sandringham for a church service.

Smiling Kate wrapped up in a royal blue Catherine Walker coat that she frequently wore during her pregnancy with Prince Louis.

She was last spotted wearing it during a visit to Norway in February 2018, according to The Sun.

The mother-of-three updated the outfit with a matching headband in the same dusky blue shade.

Underneath the coat, onlookers caught a glimpse of a polka dot dress as she strolled to St Mary Magdalene Church.

Kate, who turns 37 on Wednesday, accessorised the look with a navy blue clutch and a matching pair of heeled court shoes.

The Queen was not far behind the pair - she wore an elegant tan wool coat with a fur trim and a matching hat.

While normally accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh on such occasions, the 92-year-old sovereign instead enjoyed the company of a female companion.
