Meghan Markle has redesigned her engagement ring

The Duchess of Sussex has made a major change to the ring Prince Harry proposed with back in 2017.

Wait, the Royals are worth how much?!

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement back in November 2018, we were nothing short of obsessed with the former Suits star’s diamond ring.

Designed by Prince Harry himself, the Duchess of Sussex’s stunning sparkler even features two of the late Princess Diana’s diamonds — but less than two years later, it’s undergone a dramatic transformation, reports The Sun.

Earlier this month, Meghan Markle made her first public appearance since she gave birth to baby Archie at the annual Trooping the Colour.

But while eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the Duchess was wearing a third ring — which some suspect was a “push present” from Prince Harry — it now appears that Meghan has blinged up her engagement ring.

The stunning sparkler originally had a thick gold band which beautifully offset the row of three diamonds.

However, the Duchess seems to have reset her ring with a much thinner, diamond-studded micro-pave gold band.

Although it’s impossible to pinpoint when exactly Meghan had her engagement ring reset, the Duchess was spotted without it towards the end of her pregnancy.

The absence of Meghan’s ring led experts to question if Meghan’s fingers had swollen in her third trimester.

During the couple’s engagement interview in 2017, Prince Harry revealed he had specifically chosen a gold band for Meghan’s original ring based on her jewellery collection.

He said: “The ring is obviously yellow gold because that’s her favourite and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana and the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewellery collection, to make sure she’s with us on this crazy journey together.”

Along with incorporating two of his late mother’s jewels into the intricate design, Botswana is an extremely special place for the royal couple as they jetted off to the country for a romantic African holiday on her 36th birthday ahead of their engagement.
