Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared sweet family photo before explosive interview went to air

Meghan and Harry released an adorable new family photo just hours before their explosive Oprah interview aired in the UK.

Explosive revelations from Harry and Meghan

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released a rare, new picture of their young son Archie hours before their damning Oprah interview went to air.

The adorable black-and-white snap shows Harry hugging his pregnant wife, who in turn is cradling their 22-month-old son.

The Duchess of Sussex is expecting their second child, a daughter, due in the US summer.

The picture was taken by photographer Misan Harriman, who also took the royal couple’s original pregnancy announcement photo.

It was shared on Instagram by Harriman with the caption: “What wonderful news to celebrate on International Women’s Day! Congratulations my friends, and welcome to the #girldad club H.”

The couple revealed their baby’s gender during the Oprah interview.

“To have any child, any one or any two, would have been amazing. But to have a boy and then a girl, what more can you ask for,” Prince Harry said.

“We’ve got our family — the four of us and our two dogs.”

The pair also insisted that “two is it” and that their family was now complete.

The Oprah interview also included the first glimpse of Archie in months, with black and white footage showing the young family enjoying a walk on a beach with their dogs.

Their concerns about their son’s safety and privacy was a key theme of the interview, with the couple revealing it was the palace who didn’t want her Archie to have a royal title and touching on concerning conversations about race.

“I had been asking the institution for help for a long time … after we had gotten back from our Australia tour which was about a year before that and we talked about when things really started to turn and we knew we weren’t being protected, it was during that part of our pregnancy that I began to understand what our continued reality was going to look like.

“And that was when they were saying they didn’t want him to be a prince or a princess, which would be different from protocol, and that he wasn’t going to receive security. It was really hard. He wasn’t going to receive security. This went on for our last few months of my pregnancy.”

Meghan went on to explain how it was the potential of Archie’s skin colour being dark that also seemed to be a problem.

“I can give you an honest answer. In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time, so we have in tandem the conversation of he won’t be given security, he’s not going to be given a title, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin is going to be when he’s born.”

The CBS interview included a string of bombshell revelations, including Meghan’s mental health struggles, bullying claims and the fact Prince Charles had stopped taking Harry’s phone calls.
