Meghan Markle and Prince Harry hold hands as they deliver food to LA locals

New pictures show the couple holding hands and sharing an affectionate moment as they continue their free food deliveries around LA.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been pictured holding hands in a loved-up display as they delivered food to LA locals in need during the coronavirus crisis.

The couple donned face masks as they delivered free meals in West Hollywood for charity Project Angel Food around their new city, reports The Sun.

Meghan and Harry showed plenty of affection as they walked the streets of LA.

The pair donned gloves, masks and caps for the outing.

Harry, 35, opted for a blue bandana over his mouth and nose as he carried supplies from a blacked-out 4WD on Friday.

Harry was seen unloading the packages from their 4WD.

Meghan, 38, wore a cap emblazoned with the charity’s logo and a heavier duty, carbon-filtered mask.

She was also seen carrying a blue food bag and wearing protective gloves as she punched a code into a keypad outside one residence.

They were both dressed casually.

After delivering their packages, the couple were seen linking arms and holding hands.

Meghan and Harry held hands as they undertook their duties.

They later enjoyed a lockdown stroll with their dogs on a community route popular with locals.

Archie stayed at home with minders.

The charity’s executive director Richard Ayoub described the pair as “extremely down to earth and genuinely interested in every single person they met”.

It is understood the couple, who quit royal life at the start of the year to move to Canada before relocating to America, are currently renting a $15.6 million mansion near their pals Sir Elton John and David Furnish.

The Sussexes swooped on the home in a gated community in Los Angeles while they hunt for a permanent property.

The couple are understood to have been in regular touch with Rocket Man superstar Sir Elton, 73, and husband David, 57, via video — with the city locked down until at least May 15.

A source said: “Meghan and Harry have been hunting for months but have yet to find their dream home.

“The market is dive-bombing at the moment so a permanent move seems some time away.

“So they have tried to make life as comfortable as possible in their rented house, and have found a wonderful complex away from prying eyes.

“It is accessible through two guarded checkpoints, and prides itself on being ‘paparazzi-proof’. Most houses here are enormous and quite a few celebs live nearby, including Elton.

“If they can’t move for another few months, at least they will be happy and very comfortable here.”

Meanwhile, TMZ claims the Sussexes have been eyeing homes up to $27.5 million in the suburb of Bel Air.

George and Amal Clooney are also said to have helped the Sussexes settle in — with advice ranging from security to schooling.

‘OUTRAGEOUS’

The latest pictures of the couple helping people affected by the coronavirus lockdown come after Prince Harry was slammed for claiming the UK coronavirus crisis is not as bad as the public are being told.

He said on a podcast that things here are “better than we are led to believe through ­certain corners of the media”.

Speaking on the podcast Declassified, Harry said: "I’m just so incredibly proud to see what these individuals up and down the country and across the world are doing.

“It’s also proving that I think things are better than we’re led to believe through certain corners of the media.

“It can be very worrying when you’re sitting there and the only information you are getting is from certain news channels, but then if you are out and about or you are on the right platforms, you can really sense this human spirit coming to the forefront.”

But his comments were branded “outrageous” by expert Professor Karol Sikora, who asked: “What are his qualifications for making these comments — other than deserting his country in its hour of need?”

Meanwhile, Meghan is expected to give her first TV interview since she and Harry stepped down from the royal family.

The former actress is set to appear on the Good Morning America show to talk about her new movie venture.

A television advert plugging Meghan's appearance states she will discuss the Disney movie Elephant.

A trailer for the documentary reveals it “follows one family's extraordinary 1000-mile journey across Africa on an adventure that will change their lives”.

It shows the former Suits actress talking to the camera in a preview of Monday's interview.

"On GMA Monday, Meghan Markle with an exclusive first look at the Disney documentary Elephant," a voice-over says on the clip.

It does not state whether or not she will be talking about her and Harry’s new life since leaving the UK.

The Duchess signed the voiceover deal in return for a donation to wildlife charity, Elephants Without Borders.
