Meghan and Harry move to California as the Duchess of Sussex’s plans are revealed
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have secretly moved to California from Canada, and there are reports about what Meghan plans to do next.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are officially residents of Los Angeles after relocating from Canada before the US border was temporarily closed to non-essential travel amid the coronavirus pandemic.
News surfaced yesterday the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had made the move to Markle’s native California, and have been abiding by the local stay-at-home order.
They are said to have taken solace in a secluded LA compound with their 10-month-old son, Archie, according to People magazine.
An insider close to the couple told the outlet Harry, 35, and Markle, 38, are maximising their time in solitude by supporting their friends and others who are also adjusting to the new normal.

Markle has reportedly been video chatting with her close friends and exchanging cooking recipes.
Last week the pair released a statement saying social distancing was “a lot to take in”.
“Our emotional well-being is challenged every day whether we realise it or not, but our lives are usually filled with distractions,” the couple said on Instagram last week.
“Now with constantly changing COVID coverage, we are all adjusting to this new normal and the feelings that come with it.
“These are uncertain times. And now, more than ever, we need each other. We need each other for truth, for support, and to feel less alone during a time that can honestly feel quite scary,” the statement continued.
Per People, Harry has also been in touch with his father, Prince Charles.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that the 71-year-old royal, who is first in line to the British throne, tested positive for coronavirus after displaying mild symptoms.
The diagnosis reportedly brought Harry closer to his older brother, Prince William, after ongoing reports of a feud.
“Harry and (his older brother) William are now on speaking terms again and this has healed the rift that was ongoing,” a palace insider told UK media correspondent Neil Sean.
“Both brothers have linked with Charles via video and joked and made him feel happy that they were together again.”
It comes as US Weekly reports Markle plans to write another cookbook, her follow-up effort to her 2018 release Together: Our Community Cookbook for charity.
A source told the outlet that additionally, the Duchess of Sussex is looking to relaunch her former lifestyle blog The Tig, as well as developing a kitchenware line.
“Meghan has heaps of projects in the works,” the insider told the magazine.
This week it was reported Markle had landed her first post-royal job since stepping back as a senior member of the royal family in the form of a voiceover job for Elephant, an upcoming Disney+ documentary to be narrated by Markle.
And on Friday it was revealed the Sussexes had relocated from Vancouver Island in Canada to Los Angeles, according to People.
It is unclear when exactly the couple made the move.
Back in January, Markle and Harry announced that they would take “a step back” as senior members of the royal family and instead work independently, splitting their time between the United Kingdom and North America.
