Luxury Sydney villa Meghan and Harry are tipped to stay
THE Duke and Duchess of Sussex are coming to Australia — and this is the multimillion-dollar villa in Sydney’s ritzy east where they’re tipped to be staying.
ROYAL newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially headed to Australia to attend the fourth Invictus Games in 2018.
It will be the first time the pair head Down Under as newlyweds, but it won’t be a honeymoon as such — Prince Harry actually founded the Invictus Games in 2014 as a dedicated sporting event for wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and associated veterans, and has been hands-on with the event since its launch four years ago.
Speculation has been rife as to where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be staying during their visit.
The royals have reportedly secured a multimillion-dollar luxury home in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs, with breathtaking beachfront views and eight bedrooms.
According to interiors magazine Inside Out, the home is said to look strikingly similar to luxe Point Piper mansion Villa Del Mare, a grand six-bedroom waterfront residence just shy of $40 million.
Located in Point Piper’s prestige “dress circle”, the home is a world-class address that boasts sweeping harbour views within an intimate and private setting.
The estate also offers a private butler’s residence, with living areas framed by stunning floor-to-ceiling windows.
It also boasts a range of private balconies, so the newlyweds shouldn’t have any issues keeping prying eyes away.
It will be the perfect time for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to soak up the sun too — the Invictus Games run from October 20 to 27.
