King Charles ‘too busy’ to see Prince Harry during surprise UK visit

Prince Harry has made an unexpected trip to London for a high-profile court case – but his father and brother won’t be carving out time for a catch-up.

Prince Harry is not expected to meet King Charles or the Prince of Wales on his surprise trip to Britain.

It’s the Duke of Sussex’s first time in the country since the Queen’s funeral last September, reports The Sun.

But he’s not expected to meet with his father King Charles or brother Prince William during his visit.

He is in London’s High Court today for a hearing against Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers over allegations of unlawful information-gathering.

The shock appearance will be seen as a demonstration of his determination over the legal action.

The King was due to be away on Monday on the first official state visit of his reign, but the trip to France was cancelled due to rioting over pension reforms.

It means Charles is now in the UK at the same time as Harry for the first time in six months.

But Buckingham Palace said the King was not in Windsor or London.

added that he would be leaving for a state visit to Germany on Wednesday morning.

“He won’t see the King whose diary is jam packed, the monarch is in Germany this week and has prior engagements in the diary,” a royal insider told the UK’s Telegraph.

“Prince Harry has contacted his father’s office and has already been told he was too busy.”

The King is understood to be at Highgrove, Gloucestershire.

Harry is also unlikely to be meeting up with William.

The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are not currently in Windsor because of the youngsters’ school Easter holidays.

Just weeks ago, Harry laid bare his troubled relationship with his father the King and brother the Prince of Wales in his controversial autobiography Spare.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been asked to vacate their UK home Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate, in a move sanctioned by the King, meaning Harry could spend some of his time packing up any remaining possessions.

The duke is also taking legal action against the Home Office over security arrangements when he is in the UK, raising questions about his own security provisions during this visit.
