Kate Middleton has stunned in a plunging black dress as she arrived with Prince William at the Royal Variety Performance on Monday night.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge raised the glamour stakes as they were snapped arriving at the London Palladium theatre, reports The Sun.

It’s the third time Kate and William, both 37, have gone to the spectacular event after making appearances in 2014 and 2017.

Kate looked incredible in a floor-length black lace Alexander McQueen gown and wore her glossy locks in loose curls.

The royal couple will greet a number of performers as well as executives from the Royal Variety Charity and ITV, both before and after the show.

The event is in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, formally known as The Entertainment Artistes’ Benevolent Fund, of which the Queen is patron.

The money raised from the show helps hundreds of entertainers throughout the UK who need help due to illness.

Last year, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry represented the royal family at the Royal Variety Performance, which featured 2018 Britain’s Got Talent winner – Lost Voice Guy.

Since its inception, the Royal Variety Performance has been watched by more than 152 million TV viewers worldwide, making it the most successful and longest-running entertainment show in the world.

Tickets range from $133 in the Upper Circle to $800 in the stalls and Royal Circle.

Combined tickets for the show and aftershow, which was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane, are also available – although these will set you back a cool $1130.

Headline act Sir Rod Stewart was forced to pull out at the last minute on “strict doctor’s orders” due to a throat infection.

He tweeted that he was “absolutely devastated” to be unable to perform and described it as an “amazing show which I love being part of”.

He added: “I’m very disappointed that I can’t be there to give my support.”

Other A-listers in attendance included Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Field.

Kate is being presented with flowers picked from the garden of the Royal Variety Charity’s residential home in west London, Brinsworth House.

This year it is called Frosty Winter Garden and is being presented by Lydia Jones, 10, while a program is being presented to William by Oliver Hinton, 8.
