Kate Middleton bonds with young mums over Prince George at charity event
The Duchess of Cambridge gushed about her eldest son as she mingled with young parents at a children’s centre in London.
The Duchess of Cambridge gushed that her eldest son, Prince George, was growing up so fast as she met with young mums and dads at a children’s centre in London on Thursday.
Dressed in a black and white polka-dot blouse and cropped wide-leg pant, the mother-of-three was presented with a yellow posy of flowers by a four-year-old boy as she arrived at the Sunshine House Children and Young People’s Health and Development Centre in Camberwell.
She then sat down with parents to learn more about the services offering them support.
“It was lovely meeting the Duchess. She asked how old Oliver is and what football shirt he was wearing,” 22-year-old mother Chloe Koromoa told the The Sun.
“She said children grow up so quickly and she can't believe George is six already.”
During her pregnancy, Ms Koroma was helped by a voluntary home visiting program called the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP).
“My nurse Debbie was a fantastic support throughout my pregnancy. She was always there for me and gave me lots of advice and guidance,” she told The Sun.
“I have bi-polar and following the pregnancy I suffered from postnatal depression, so I really appreciated her support. I no longer use the service but I'm still in touch with Debbie as she was a big part of my life.”
Kate met with the team behind the program as part of her ongoing research into the early years of a child’s development.
“The programme supports young mums to have a healthy pregnancy, improve their child's health and development, and reach their goals and aspirations,” Kensington Royal said on Instagram.
Earlier this month, Prince William and Kate dropped four-year-old Princess Charlotte off to her first day of school at St Thomas’s School in Battersea.
Prince George attends the same school in Year 2.
