UKIP leader dumps model girlfriend for racist slurs against Meghan Markle
A BRITISH political leader says he has ended his relationship with his model girlfriend after she made racist remarks about Prince Harry’s fiancee, Meghan Markle.
ONE of Britain’s top political leaders says he has ended his relationship with his model girlfriend after she made racist remarks about Prince Harry’s fiancee, Meghan Markle.
Henry Bolton, the leader of the UK Independence Party, was facing being sacked if he stood by his 25-year-old lover, Jo Marney.
He announced the split on the ITV show Good Morning Britain, but refused to resign.

Marney was forced to apologise for the “shocking language” she used in a series of text messages to a friend, but said her words had been “taken out of context”.
She also sent graphic messages referencing child abuse in an argument with a friend, according to British media reports.
The model apologised for the “reckless and unnecessary” comments where she said Ms Markle’s “seed” would “taint the Royal Family”.

The Mail on Sunday newspaper reported that Marney, who describes herself as a model and actor, made offensive comments about Ms Markle and black people, including calling them “ugly.” She also claimed the actress’s entry into the Royal Family would “pave the way for a black king.”
During the shocking tirade, the glamour model further claimed she would never have sex with a “n***o”, and describes black people as “ugly”.
Outside her home today, she told the MailOnline: “I’m absolutely devastated by the messages that I’ve sent and the distress I’ve caused by those messages.”
She added: “’They were unnecessary, they were reckless, they were overly exaggerated purely for effect.”

While Marney doesn’t hold an official post in the party, her membership in the party, known for its anti-European Union stance, was suspended immediately.
Ms Markle, who will wed Prince Harry in May, has spoken publicly and written about being proudly bi-racial, and also about how it affected her acting career.
Last year, Prince Harry criticised some media reports and online comments for drawing negative attention to Ms Markle’s African-American heritage.

The prince issued a strongly worded statement condemning the “outright sexism and racism” in some comments about Markle, and said some articles with “racial undertones” crossed the line.
Earlier today, UKip Chairman Paul Oakeden said Mr Bolton, 54, has some “difficult decisions to make ... and he will make them today.”
He told the BBC’s Sunday Politics: “He is very focused on those decisions today ... I am sure that whatever he does will be the best decision for the party.”
The party boss was forced to choose between his girlfriend and his job.
Bolton is already facing calls for his resignation after he left his 42-year-old wife without warning.
Earlier, Ukip West Midlands MEP Bill Etheridge said he should quit.
He tweeted: “I am calling for Henry Bolton to resign as UKIP leader. A quick resignation is now essential to allow the party to regroup and campaign properly for Brexit.”
He said in a video message that his “lack of experience in politics has got the better off him” and accused him of allowing “Ukip resources, which are scant, [to be] used to defend Henry’s private life.”
Ukip’s National Executive Committee is set to meet on Thursday to decide his fate.
If he is ousted, the party will be left to elect its fifth leader in just 18 months.
Nigel Farage stepped down after the Brexit referendum, saying his job was done.
