Insider reveals secret message in William and Kate’s emotional new video
A friend of the Wales’ has lifted the lid on the hidden message buried within their unexpectedly personal new video.

An unexpectedly personal new video released by the Prince and Princess of Wales, featuring private moments with their children and even a sneaky kiss, was reportedly designed to send a strong message to the world.
In a slick, highly-produced three-minute clip, shot last month at their home in Norfolk and unveiled on Monday, Kate spoke of her “relief” at having finally finished chemotherapy after a “scary” and “incredibly tough” nine months.
It was directed by commercial director, Will Warr, who previously worked on the Wales’ equally glossy video from behind-the-scenes of the coronation last year.
As a friend of Prince William and Kate’s told The Daily Beast, the family-centric tone is meant to be “the reset to end all resets”, and a solid insight into what we can expect when their time comes as heads of the monarchy.
“This is Kate and William as they mean to go on. It’s family first and f**k the haters, f**k the press, f**k Harry and Meghan,” the insider shared.
“It helps that they actually are like this. If you go to a kid’s birthday party at their house, they will be the ones organising games for all the kids whereas the rest of us would happily get an entertainer in and be drinking wine in the kitchen.”
Meanwhile, during an engagement in Wales the day after the video statement was released, William told wellwishers that the end of his wife’s chemotherapy was “good news” but admitted that “there is still a long way to go.”
It echoed Kate’s hopeful but cautious tone in her statement, as she explained that she was now focusing on doing what she can “to stay cancer-free”.
“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you,” she said in a voice-over, as clips of herself and William, spending time with their three children – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine and Prince Louis, six – were shown.
“ … Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.
“I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.
“Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.”
While it’s understood Kate’s return to official duties will be gradual, it’s been widely reported that she is now hoping to join Remembrance Day activities alongside the royal family in November and also partake in her annual Christmas concert the following month.
