How Meghan Markle has ‘amazed’ the Queen
Meghan Markle might be weathering a patch of bad press, but she’s earned a huge tick of approval from her boss — the Queen of England.
She may be expecting her first child in a matter of weeks, but Meghan Markle has thrown herself into her royal duties in recent months.
Between her lavish New York baby shower and an official royal trip to Morocco this week, the Duchess of Sussex has been working hard staying on top of her busy schedule — and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by the royals, reports The Sun .
The Queen is said to be so impressed with Meghan’s work ethic she’s planning on giving the Duchess a “rare present” to express her appreciation.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, a palace aide revealed: “The Queen is amazed by the Duchess’s energy and stamina given that she is heavily pregnant.
“For the Queen and her generation, you generally hid your bump and put your feet up in this stage of pregnancy, but Meghan hasn’t stopped.”
The Palace insider claimed the Queen only occasionally praised the royal family for their work, but Meghan would be rewarded with a handwritten thankyou note.
The source added: “There may well be a letter waiting for the Duke and Duchess when they return. She respects hard work and loyalty above everything.”
And it’s not just the Queen who has been impressed with Meghan’s work ethic.
According to the insider, courtiers on the Morocco trip praised the Duchess for her “serious stamina” and claimed “her work ethic is pretty impressive, she really doesn’t stop”.
While Meghan’s due date has yet to be announced, the couple revealed they were expecting their first child in the British spring 2019 and would be moving into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor later this year.
