Harry and Meghan’s son Archie’s christening details revealed
Prince Harry and Meghan’s son Archie will be christened in the coming weeks, in a ceremony with extra special meaning for the royal couple.
Details for the christening of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new son have been revealed, six weeks after his birth.
According to The Sunday Times, baby Archie Mountbatten-Windsor will be baptised next month at the same location his parents were married last May — St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
It’s also where Harry was baptised back in 1984.
Prince Charles is set to welcome his grandchild into the faith, although it’s believed great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II won’t be able to attend due to ”prior commitments”.
The Archbishop of Canterbury is likely to do the honours at the ceremony, and Archie is expected to wear the same royal christening gown worn by his cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The christening will provide plenty of opportunities for royal fans to finally get a good look at Archie, who was born on May 6. Until now, he’s only been seen once in public — in a photo call held two days after his birth, during which he was wrapped up in a blanket and cap.
The christening details come as a new photo of Archie was posted to Harry and Meghan’s official Instagram page, @sussexroyal, in which his face could finally be seen properly.
Last month, the royals shared a photo of his tiny feet in honour of Mother’s Day.
