Harry and Meghan step out for date night amid Frogmore eviction drama
Harry and Meghan were all smiles as they stepped out for an LA date night amid their Frogmore Cottage eviction drama.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were all smiles as they stepped out for a night on the town in Los Angeles, hours after news broke that King Charles had evicted them from their UK property Frogmore Cottage.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted arriving at Hollywood eatery San Vicente Bungalows, the top spot for industry power players, in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
In exclusive photos obtained by Page Six, the former actress, 41, looked elegant in black leather pants, black heels and a beige cardigan. She complemented the look with a black clutch.
Meanwhile the Duke, 38, wore a grey cardigan paired with a blue T-shirt, jeans and blue shoes.
Prince Harry was the first one to step out of the car while his wife came out after, shielding herself from the LA rain as a bodyguard held an umbrella for her.
The members-only club bans mobile phones and photos, so the privacy-keen couple ensured their meal was a peaceful one.
Hours before their outing, news broke that King Charles had started evicting his son and daughter-in-law from their Windsor, UK, home just one day after Harry’s memoir, Spare, hit shelves.
It was also revealed that the King offered the now-empty property to his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew.
From talking about his infamous frostbitten penis to accusing Prince William of physically attacking him and alleging that his father called him a “spare” when he was born, Spare became the fastest-selling nonfiction book ever, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
And despite the bitter taste Spare has left in his family’s mouth, an insider told Page Six that the former royal has no regrets.
“Harry said he was really happy about the success of the book and the reaction to it,” the insider told us.
“He said he had no regrets about any of the revelations, and he’s relieved to have got his story out into the world. There’s been an amazing reaction to it, he said.”
The source added that the Sussexes “seemed to be in extremely good spirits”.
In fact, he’s so proud of his work that another insider told us the dad-of-two could be adding an extra chapter to the paperback version of his memoir.
“Prince Harry is already planning to add at least one new chapter … to the paperback version … out later this year or early next, when the hardcover sales have ended,” the source said.
However, only time will tell if the explosive memoir will cost the ousted couple their invitation to the King’s coronation on May 6.
Their night out came after news that Harry’s father has kicked the pair out of their Frogmore Cottage UK home – and offered it to his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew.
An insider told Page Six that the monarch began the eviction process in January – the day after Spare came out.

A source told the US Sun, which first reported the news, that “this eviction surely spells the end of Harry and Meghan’s time in the UK.”
As they’ve made California their home, the former royals now don’t have an alternative home within the family’s estate.
