Family Guy takes aim at Prince Harry, Meghan Markle in new episode

Another adult animation series has taken aim at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, with a savage portrayal of the royals in the latest episode.

Family Guy ridicules Harry and Meghan

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been brutally mocked in the latest episode of Fox comedy series, Family Guy.

After South Park ridiculed the former royals in February, the Seth MacFarlane-created adult animation has had its turn, taunting the couple over their $150 million Netflix contract which they signed in late 2020 after fleeing the UK.

In the third episode from season 22, which aired in the US on Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were depicted in one of the famous Family Guy cutaways after Peter Griffin (MacFarlane) jets off on a solo adventure to New York where he becomes a TV extra to make money.

“I’ll go it alone, just like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry,” Griffin defiantly says.

“Sir, your millions from Netflix for … No one knows what,” the butler says.

“Put it with the rest of them,” Harry replies.

Meghan’s iPhone then sounds an alert.

“Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for [fast food chain] Del Taco,” Meghan tells her husband.

A deadpan Harry utters, “I shouldn’t have left the made-up nonsense.”

Family Guy’s portrayal of the Sussexes mirrors remarks made by Spotify boss Bill Simmons, who sensationally referred to Meghan and Harry as “f***ing grifters”.

The Sussexes parted ways with the audio company in mid-June after producing just one podcast series, Meghan’s Archetypes, during their three-year $29 million contract.

Speaking on his podcast, Simmons said at the time: “‘The F**king Grifters’, that’s the podcast we should have launched with them.

“I gotta get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry, trying to help him with a podcast idea. It’s one of my best stories.”

It comes months after South Park dedicated an entire episode to the pair, depicting the fictional ‘Prince and Princess of Canada’, who repeatedly demand privacy all while drawing further attention to themselves.

Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry were recently spotted on holiday on a luxurious Caribbean island.

The pair were seen holding hands as they strolled along the paved promenade next to the marina on Canouan Island in St Vincent and the Grenadines on their childfree getaway.

“They looked happy. As Harry walked out of the shop, he slightly bumped into one of the barrels [outside] and they both giggled and Meghan reached for his hand,” an onlooker told Daily Mail.

“They just looked very happy to be having a holiday together.”
