Denmark’s royal twins brave press photoshoot on first day of school
PRINCESS Mary’s young son appeared noticeably upset as he and his twin sister patiently posed for questions and photos on their first day of school.
THE Danish royal twins have kicked off their first day of school with a press photoshoot, posing for traditional ‘first day’ snaps.
Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent, son and daughter of Prince Frederik and Australian-born Princess Mary, posed briefly for photographers outside of the Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen with their parents before heading off for their first day of school.
As they stood with their parents, the young Prince seemed visibly more nervous than his sister; his eyes glassed with tears and a worried expression on his face.
According to Royal Central, Princess Mary confirmed the twins would be in separate classrooms, perhaps why Prince Vincent appeared a little nervous.
“They are each other’s best friends and can see each other in quarters. But we thought they should have some new comrades,” said Crown Prince Frederick.
Dressed in a Peter Pan collared summer dress and sandals, Princess Josephine smiled and told the media, “I’ll go to A and Vincent will go to B.”
Between sniffles and timid smiles, and comforted by his mum, Prince Vincent stood and posed for photos with his family.
The two have joined their older siblings, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, at Tranegård School and have started in Grade 0.
