A new poll has revealed a new reality for Meghan Markle

There’s new evidence that suggests Meghan Markle’s post royal life is not working out and things are getting worse, not better.

Harry And Meghan Say They’ve Been ‘Unlucky’ Since Quitting Royals

Meghan Markle’s popularity is plunging, according to a revealing poll that shows the transition from royalty to celebrity isn’t quite going to plan.

The poll by Newsweek found that Meghan was disliked by 33 per cent of Americans, creating a brutal net approval rating of minus 2.

Interestingly, Meghan’s approval rating is down eight points from the last poll by the publication in June.

It has been a period of change for Meghan and Prince Harry after they left their life of English privilege and decided to move to Hollywood.

While Harry’s written his book Spare and done a few sit down interviews to discuss the many dramas in his family, Meghan’s been trying to figure out her thing.

She hasn’t returned to acting and there’s rumours she might start her lifestyle blog again…but otherwise besides popping up at the odd event and wearing jeans again, there hasn’t been much to report.

Meghan’s last big moment was being spotted (along with the rest of Hollywood) at a Beyoncé concert.

In an outing that actually looked refreshingly normal, Markle, Prince Harry and even Markle’s mum Doria Ragland were spotted at Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour show at SoFi Stadium in California.

Markle was seen dancing in a VIP section and wearing a silver sparkly skirt and a white tank.

It was a rare glimpse into Harry and Megan’s normal life post their dramatic departure from the royal family and London in January 2020.

Since then, the couple have been trying to figure out who they are away from the UK.

Highlights have included Meghan doing an interview with The Cut in 2022 and revealing to the journalist that two massive palm trees in the backyard of their new million-dollar home were a metaphor for her and her husband.

“One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those palm trees. See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, ‘My love, it’s us,” Markle explained.

Yep, she was being serious.

There was also the fabulous moment during the couple’s infamous interview with Oprah where Meghan claimed she never even googled Prince Harry when they started casually dating.

“I’d never looked up my husband online. I just didn’t feel a need to because everything that I needed to know, he was sharing with me, right? Everything that we thought I needed to know, he was telling me.”

Seriously? Now that is some restraint.

There was also their Netflix series in which Harry shared that their relationship started with a dog filter.

Yes.

A dog filter.

“Meg and I had met through Instagram. I was scrolling through my feed. Someone, who was a friend, had this video of the two of them with the like Snapchat thing … like dog ears,” he said.

Still, one of the biggest things to happen since they flew the royal coup was when Prince Harry and Meghan were involved in a “near catastrophic car chase” with paparazzi in New York in May this year.

The episode occurred after Meghan and Harry attended an awards ceremony with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.

It was a big night because Meghan hadn’t been spotted for awhile and she emerged in a skin tight gold dress looking incredible.

However, her fashion moment was upstaged by a “car chase” that ruined the night and allegedly put their safety at risk.

“Last night, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi,” a spokesman said in a statement emailed to AFP.

“This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers,” the spokesman added.

Despite all this drama, the gorgeous gold dress moment and even dancing at Beyonce’s concert – it doesn’t look like Meghan is winning the public over.
