Fans slammed the singer for partnering with Prenuvo, a whole body, radiation-free MRI scan boasting technology said to detect more than 500 cancers and diseases.

Ora, 33, has watched her mother battle breast cancer in the past and therefore thinks it is wise to get the scan for early detection.

“With my mum’s history of breast cancer, being proactive and not reactive with physical health has alway been so important to me,” she began in her “#prenuvopartner” post on Instagram, where she shared photos of herself in hospital attire about to undergo the scan.

The scan is said to detect more than 500 cancers and diseases but costs patients $2500.

“I’m a huge believer in doing anything I can to keep myself healthy and learn about my body. So recently I went to @prenuvo to get a full body scan,” she continued.

Fans were not happy Ora partnered up with Prenuvo.

The singer documented her scan on Instagram.

But with the scan costing patients $2500, it’s not an affordable option for many, as critics harshly pointed out. Many even wondered if the singer paid for her session or if it was gifted to her.

“How much did that cost?! us mere mortals probably couldn’t afford that luxury,” one commented on Instagram, with another adding, “Wow, advertising proactive scans for the wealthy and privileged, a full body MRI is something the vast majority of people can’t afford. I wonder if you paid for your scan?”

“Meanwhile, most people can’t afford insurance as it is,” a third wrote, while another commented, “That’s great Rita but how affordable is this for ordinary people? It’s probably not even accessible for the general public.”

Ora did have some support with a few fans for informing them of the technology.

“Thank you for sharing! Awareness is the key,” one praised, “Well done – keep It up – Rita and all women. Prevention Is important.”

A third said: “I did one of these a few years ago, it was helpful knowledge and is a great resource.”

Kim Kardashian found herself in the firing line back in August for promoting the same scan on her social media.

Kim Kardashian was also criticised for promoting Prenuvo.

Kardashian’s post was labelled “vulgar display of wealth”.

“I recently did this @prenuvo scan and had to tell you all about this life saving machine,” she began in her post she said was “#NotAnAd”.

“The Prenuvo full-body scan has the ability to detect cancer and diseases such as aneurisms in its earliest stages, before symptoms arise. It was like getting a MRI for an hour with no radiation. It has really saved some of my friends lives and I just wanted to share.”

The backlash on Instagram was swift and brutal, as many said the average person struggles to afford daily necessities.

“This the most Vulgar display of wealth,” one wrote,” while another commented, “Yeah, because the general public can really afford this. Ppl can’t even afford food or insurance.”

Yet another pointed out: “Average person can barely afford the dentist Kim!!!”
