Aussie actress Rebel Wilson has shared more details behind the injury she sustained on the set of her new movie, Bride Hard.

Rebel Wilson has shared more details of the on-set “stunt accident” that left her needing facial stitches.

Last week, the Aussie actress was rushed to hospital after suffering an injury on her nose while filming her upcoming independent movie, Bride Hard, in Savannah, Georgia.

But it appears Wilson is on the mend after sharing a health update with fans to thank them for their “well-wishes”.

“I’ve actually been healing, quite amazing. The stitches have dissolved out from my on-set accident last week,” she said in a video shared on Instagram Stories, as she gave her 11 million followers a close-up of her bruised and bloodied nose.

“In the middle of a night shoot, my last scene of the movie, so I’d done all these kick-ass fight sequences and then just in the last one I got hit in the face with the butt of a gun,” she said.

“So it was a complete accident and was such a shock. But luckily I’m healing very well, so I wanted to say thank you for everybody’s well wishes.”

Rebel Wilson has detailed the exact moment she suffered a laceration to her nose.

Wilson said she is healing in a new Instagram Stories video.

The star said that while it’ “really fun” to be part of an action movie, “it can be a bit dangerous at times”.

“I hopefully will be totally, totally fine,” she said.

When Wilson first sustained the injury last week, she told Instagram fans of the incident without going into great detail.

“NOT the way I wanted to end this movie,” Wilson captioned an image of her injury at the time. “3 stitches and in hospital last night after a stunt accident at 4am.”

Prior to her injury, Wilson was busy filming Bride Hard, which sees her play a secret agent who tries to juggle her dangerous day job with her maid of honour obligations at her childhood best friend’s wedding.

The movie is directed by Simon West, who also directed Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

Despite the ongoing strikes in Hollywood, which entered its 100th day yesterday, Bride Hard was granted an Interim Agreement to continue filming because it is an independently produced film.

“This list includes productions that are signed to agreements within the scope of the strike order, but have signed Interim Agreements allowing them to resume,” reads the official list from SAG-AFTRA obtained byEntertainment Tonight, which featured Bride Hard.

“Members may work on these productions without being in violation of the strike order.”
